Endeavors Past And Current

I have come close to owning my own business or entering business with someone else quite the number of times. The first serious one was forming an LLC with a friend of mine to do ecommerce during the pandemic. Although inventory was bought none were sold due to difficulties getting product to Amazon (for Fulfilled by Amazon). This along with the two of us having vastly different ideas on risk and risk management (I was certainly not willing to go through loans and such) led to nothing being done with the company. This was a great lesson in communication and business management as my friend and I never clearly discussed terms in full before going into the creation of the LLC and so forth.

The second industry that I was only partially involved with was film. Since I know how to roughly edit videos I was asked to edit a short film for a friend. I filmed and edited the film. After a bit and school starting up again (this was in the summer) I decided to hand it back to the producer as time was getting tiger than expected. It wasn't a big deal since my services were free but I later helped add some finishing touches which turned out well. The one thing that nags me about video work is that when you are midway through creating something there often are mistakes that come to light. This doesn't happen much with homework for me or otherwise, and having this stare me in the face often was uncomfortable. It was through this aspect of the video that I learned that sometimes improvements are non-negotiable.
