About Me

My name is David Popowicz, a student working towards a 4-year business degree with a concentration in database management.

Although I was initially going for an engineering degree it was soon discovered that I enjoyed engineering smaller and more personal projects, rather than being a hardware engineer or otherwise. The hands-on time with a home engineering project is unparalleled and this would never be matched in a corporate setting as generally a machinist is separated from the engineers. Soon after some careful thinking and exploration of hobbies and other work that would be fulfilling and enjoyable. I settled on a business degree due to my tendencies of heavily analyzing risk and margins. This of course was done for a retail-type business that never made it to be profitable due to many factors. However, despite this, I still went forward as business thinking was tough, and thinking that I enjoyed doing and never took it for granted.

This all led me to use a business degree and various other skills to supply income through a job I would acquire after university. After getting settled in this job (likely in IT management ) I will likely move over to doing some of my hobbies in such a way as to earn personal income.

For example, I have plans with various groups of people to do car photography/videography as well as document their repair/building processes. Although I have not done video work professionally this year I got more serious about making videos for the sake of perfecting my skills in videography and project/task management.
